Man alive! It would seem I've become a Google Adwords link. Regarde:

I was searching for my own name through ezine articles, all in the name of research - ahem - when I happened upon it. Of course, being the inquisitive little chappy that I am I was straight over to Google where I typed my name in again, something I’ve never done before... honest. And lo and behold, there it was again. Regarde:

Of course, I clicked on it to see who was taking my name in vain and it lead me to one of those "get-rich-quick-using-the-internet" web pages that are so prevalent. You know, the ones that promise to tell you the secrets of success or their "100% guaranteed foolproof system" for a nominal fee of 80 or so quid. “The dvd itself is worth £500 alone... blah blah blah...”.

A spot of further investigation revealed that it was most likely another Nick James - a purveyor of all manner of tools and DVDs for running internet business's - that this link was cashing in on. But there's nowt wrong in pretending it's me, is there? I enjoyed the fifteen minutes, however briefly it lasted.

I wish the proprietors of both companies every success.

Daft as a brush, I know; but it gave me a little something to chuckle about midweek.
