Rumours of my Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

... Is widely believed to be a quote from the author Mark Twain. Well this isn't entirely wrong, but what he actually said - or scribbled in a note if we're going to be downright ruddy pedantic about it - was "... The report of my illness grew out of his illness, This report of my death was an exaggeration."

Doesn't quite have the same punchiness of the more familiar misquote does it?

Anyhow, what the Dickens does this have to do with yours truly and this here blog?

Well I know time flies when you're having fun, and you'd probably not even noticed I was gone, but its been a little shy of four weeks since I last posted here and I'd just like to reassure those of my adoring public that had cottoned on to my absence that any rumours of my death have indeed been greatly exaggerated.

As for the real reason why I've not posted here... Well all will be revealed come Friday.
